PEPPY SNAKE (IMP)- This stallion was imported from King Ranch, Texas in 1977 and is by MR.SAN PEPPY-twice World Champion Open Cutting Horse, also sire of PEPPY SAN BADGER (LITTLE PEPPY). PEPPY SNAKE has received his ROM-Cutting & Performance, AQHA Superior Horse-Cutting, in addition to NCHA Champion Cutting Horse Certificate 1983 & was made an NCHA Supreme Cutting Horse Champion in 1984- one of only 4 in Australia at the time. To the best of our knowledge, PEPPY SNAKE is the only stallion to have been ridden to be awarded NCHA High Point Awards for ladies & Senior Youth, as well as Open Horse & Stallion. He made history when he & his son, KING RANCH NEWGATE, won their respective NCHA High Point Awards in 1985-Open Horse & Novice Horse. It was the first time these high point awards had been won by a father & a son in the same year. NEWGATE has also received his ROM-Halter, Performance & Cutting, AQHA Superior Horse- Halter & Cutting & the AQHA 1982 Stud Book Stallion of the year at halter. Other PEPPY SNAKE progeny include KING RANCH MYSTIC- Champion QH mare Brisbane Royal 1982 & Received her ROM- Halter; KING RANCH LLEWELYN- ROM- Cutting & Performance, AQHA Superior- Cutting & NCHA Certificates of Ability & Merit; also KING RANCH MISS PEPPY SNAKE, KING RANCH CABALLERO & PEPPY BOW who have received their ROM’s-Cutting & Performance. Annual Sale progeny include KING RANCH PEPPYTALK, sold for top price of $6,570 in 1984; KING RANCH PEPPYNITA, $5,750 the same year; as well as KING RANCH PEPPYS VIEW & PEPPY BOW who sold for equal top price of $5000 in 1986. Eighty progeny have grossed $207,650, selling to $10,000 for a$2,596 average price.
